One of the most famous is the ghost of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, who is reported to have appeared in the castle’s corridors after her death in 2002. The castle also has tales of other royal spirits, including King Henry VI, who was murdered in the castle in 1471 during the Wars of the Roses. His ghost reportedly haunts the castle chapel and the famous Round Tower.
